Although the port has lost some of its commercial importance, it nevertheless remains dynamic, particularly for the coffee company, founded in Trieste in 1933 by Francesco Illy, which continues to develop internationally. An elegant, colourful and gourmet downtown boutique dedicated to fine coffee, but not only! It sells a rigorous selection of local products, Dammann Frères tea, fine chocolates, jams, wines, oils and art editions of coffee cups, as well as adorable vintage coffee makers.
