DUOMO DEI SANTI GIOVANNI E PAOLO
Cathedral with a sculpture of 2 apostles (saints John and Paul) above the entrance portal.
Built in white calcite blocks, the cathedral of Muggia presents a harmonious facade in late Gothic style. Consecrated in 1263, it was dedicated to Saints John and Paul. The two apostles are represented in a sculpture above the entrance portal in a position of adoration of the Trinity. A beautiful rose window with a relief sculpture of the Madonna and Child in the center and a bell tower at the back complete the diocesan ensemble.
