BASILICA DI SANT'EUFEMIA
Paleochristian basilica preserving incredibly its mosaics of the ground dating from the VIth century.
Built in the 6th century, this early Christian basilica has undergone additions in the 17th and 19th centuries, but has regained its original harmony in the latest restorations. The mosaics on the floor date from the sixth century and are incredibly well preserved. The sculpted pulpit, topped by a small Moorish-inspired dome, dates back to the 13th century. The apse is decorated with a 15th century fresco. Next to it, there is a 6th century baptistery and a lapidarium with inscriptions, altars and Roman coins.
