MUSEO DIOCESANO - GALLERIA DEL TIEPOLO
Diocesan museums housing a beautiful collection of wood carvings and gold and silverware from the church in the region.
The palace is the seat of the bishopric and dates from the 15th century, but its present appearance dates from the 18th century. It houses two museums: the Diocesan Museum and the Tiepolo Galleries. The collection represents more than 700 works. In the Tiepolo Galleries you can see the most significant cycle of frescoes that Tiepolo painted in Udine. The diocesan museum also has a fine collection of wooden sculptures (13th-18th century) and gold and silverware from the churches in the area.
