CASA CAVAZZINI
Museum of modern and contemporary art exhibiting some sculptures and paintings.
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Udine is housed in old palaces renovated by Dante Cavazzini in 1937. Some 3,000 sculptures and paintings are displayed alongside 14th century secular frescoes and Cavazzini's own furnishings, such as his dining room, which is entirely painted with rural scenes by Afro Basaldella. Some of the works on display are by famous Italian artists such as De Chirico, Morandi and Guttuso. Great American names are also represented, such as Willem de Kooning.
