MUSEO ARCHEOLOGICO NAZIONALE
Museum with pieces coming from the necropolis of Cividale.
The museum is housed in the 15th century Palazzo dei Provveditori Veneti. While the basement rooms preserve a vast archaeological space, those on the first floor tell the story of the city from Roman times to the period of Venetian domination. The rooms on the upper floor allow visitors to discover more about the history, traditions, habits and customs of the Lombards in this region from the 6th to the 8th century. Most of the pieces come from the necropolis of Cividale.
