LA GARE MARITIME
Ouistreham’s maritime station has been providing passengers and freight transfers to Portsmouth in the south of England since 1986. Since then, the success of this bond is not diminished. Up to three departures per day are provided on board Normandy or Mont-Saint-Michel (between six and seven hours of crossing). Mini-cruises, weekends and Outre are also available. A stele, inaugurated on 6 June 2000 by His Royal Highness Prince Philippe, Duke of Edinburgh, is erected in the station’s parking lot in memory of the British crews of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines who participated in the landing operations on 6 June 1944. Attention, since June 2014, this parking is paid after two hours of parking.
