To reach England from Normandy, there are three ports and three options: Le Havre, Caen-Ouistreham and Cherbourg. From each of these ports, you can board one of the ships in the fleet, bound for Portsmouth, which offers direct access to the main motorways and is 2 hours from London by car or bus. Crossings average between 2 hours 15 minutes (for fast ships) and 8 hours 45 minutes for a night crossing on a ferry. Every year, hundreds of thousands of passengers board our ferries.
