Restaurant offering cuisine made from fresh products in Ouistreham.
Julien Paugam is at the head of the only table in the village. The young chef has taken up the challenge of taking over from Fabrice (this gourmet of travel and discovery passed away in 2018) and we salute the success of his successor. Julien has made his mark in several prestigious kitchens on the Côte de Nacre and offers a menu partly sea-facing with, for example, on the day of our visit, a fish mousse and a fillet of sea bream with cockles cream. Julien excels in pastry: succulent chocolate crispy millefeuille mascarpone cream for dessert. All this for a shock formula at a very wise price. The menu also offers gastronomic suggestions, meat and fish (veal kidneys flambéed with calvados, salmon trout fillet with parsley butter). The decor, with its "in the juice" tiles and small tables, preserves privacy. With the terrace on a sunny day, it’s even better. Be careful, the room is not extendable and the chef only works with fresh products: it is better to book so you don’t have to turn back. Which would be a real shame.
