The only museum to trace the French participation in the events of 6th June 1944.
This is the only museum dedicated to French participation in the events of 6th June 1944. Numerous documents and artefacts bear witness to the action of the 177 French commandos under Commandant Kieffer. These marine fusiliers, trained in Scotland, were integrated into the British forces. The museum is open to all, especially the younger generation. What’s more, all the exhibits bear the scars of these terrible events: clothes were worn, weapons and everyday objects used.
