In the castle of Rovereto, this museum, opened in 1921, traces the military history of the region, from Napoleonic campaigns to the Second World War. The main focus of the museum is the Great War of 1914-1918. The very violent battles on the border between Trentino and Austria are evoked through collections of weapons, uniforms, documents, photos, propaganda material and works of art. Excursions are organized to the actual battle sites.
