EARTH PYRAMIDS

These astonishing earth pyramids, up to 20 m high, are a masterpiece of nature and offer a fascinating spectacle. They are the result of the erosion of the moraine rock over the millennia and stand out in the landscape in the midst of very dense vegetation. To reach them, the trail of Dürer, the famous German artist, can be followed from the Klösterie of San Floriano. It is said that he walked this path in 1494, when he passed through the region. It takes about 4 hours, round trip, to reach one of the three different groups of pyramids.
