A residential tower with remarkable gothic murals in Appiano.
The first residential tower, built in the 14th century by the Rottenburg family, underwent successive extensions with each change of owner: a hunting residence in the 15th century, it then became a noble residence until the 19th century. Its various architectural styles bear witness to its history. Of particular interest, however, are the Gothic murals decorating the interior: inspired by secular art, they depict hunting scenes, a "cat and mouse fight" and even a phallus tree!
