Prestigious hotel with a Liberty style decoration appreciated by great personalities such as Alfred Hitchcock.
One of Genoa's most prestigious hotels, built in 1905, located in the heart of the city just a few steps from the Palazzo Ducale, the Teatro Carlo Felice and the most important museums and historic palaces. Recently restructured, it has maintained its harmonious early20th-century Liberty-style architecture, with the best services and comfort of its five stars, more than deserved! Its impressive elliptical white marble staircase is said to have inspired Alfred Hitchcock's film Vertigo. He stayed here, as did many other great personalities.

Service is generally very good and professional. The restaurant is also very classy and the food is above average. It's just a delight to dine in a room that looks like the museum you visit.
The room we got (a upgrade) was very spacious and modern facilities are available despite being an old botel. The only issue is that the wooden floor creaks very bad but that is normal for old buildings. Overall a very good stay.
