A central event dedicated to Italian art from the avant-gardes of the early 20th century to the present day. The event takes place in BolognaFiere, the vast trade fair and exhibition district on the outskirts of Bologna. The Main Section hosts the stands of the major national art galleries, each promoting the works of a few promising or confirmed artists. There are thematic sections that explore a particular discipline or artistic trend, for example Fotografia e immagini in movimento, dedicated to photography and video.
