Museum exhibiting a rich collection of objects covering prehistory.
Founded in 1881, it is located in Palazzo Galvani, next to the Basilica of San Petronio. The first floor exhibits a rich collection of objects covering Prehistory, Etruscan and Roman times. In the basement, the Egyptian collection, one of the most important in Italy, includes more than 3,500 objects, including sarcophagi and stelae, from the Old Kingdom to the Ptolemaic period. It contains reliefs from the tomb of Horemheb at Saqqarah (13th century BC).

Petit mais tout de même l'un des musées européens les plus importants concernant l'égyptologie. L'exposition en cours sur le sujet est à ne pas manquer !
