CASA ROMEI
Sumptuously decorated house with various objects and works of art
This beautiful 15th century house, sumptuously decorated, belonged to a rich merchant from Ferrara. Incorporated at his death in the monastery next to Corpus Domini, it has a beautiful courtyard with arcades and double loggia. Today, it brings together various objects and works of art that once adorned the city's churches. Opposite the house is the Palace of René de France (1475), seat of the university since 1963. In the choir of the Corpus Domini monastery is the tomb of Lucrezia Borgia, wife of Alfonso I.
