A new museum project that aims to promote the history and culture of Judaism.
The MEIS is a brand new museum project that aims to make the history and culture of Judaism in Italy known. The itinerary retraces its formation from Roman times and during the Middle Ages, and defines the identity of the Italian Jewish community in relation to that of other places of the diaspora. The whole is illustrated with documents and reconstructions (of the Temple of Jerusalem, of the first synagogues in Italy...). Temporary exhibitions are organized.
