Just a few steps from the cathedral, this establishment has been awarded the title of "Modena's most typical restaurant". In rooms decorated without fuss, local and traditional dishes can be tasted. Among the house's specialities are excellent platters of cold meats accompanied by gnocco fritto and tigella, as well as homemade pasta from the mamma that can be seen in the kitchen. Taste the zampone di Modena IGP, a boneless pork trotter stuffed with minced and spicy meat: delicious and melt-in-the-mouth! Reservation strongly recommended.

Straordinaria la signora che serve ancora ai tavoli,un po' datati gli interni e il cibo un po' freddo alcune pietanze i tempi della bella e buona trattoria stanno passando inesorabilmente, peccato.

Sono tornato da Enzo dopo qualche anno ed in passato lo frequentavo spesso. Purtroppo devo constatare, come si evince da altri commenti, che il locale é decaduto moltissimo. Dopo la prematura scomparsa del figlio purtroppo, che era molto bravo nel suo lavoro, non é piú lo stesso locale storico di Modena di prima. Personale incapace di adempiere al servizio, cucina non piú all' altezza di prima e prezzi fuori mercato per quello che viene servito. Locale sporco anche. I due proprietari anziani inadeguati alla presenza in sala. Concludo che sarebbe meglio per tutti che chiudessero il locale mi dispiace.

Gli anziani gestori fanno tenerezza, ma il prezzo è assolutamente sproporzionato rispetto al servizio. Nel cuore storico di Modena potrebbe avere la fila fuori, ma ha bisogno di un radicale restauro... e di giovani.
