Cathedral, example of Lombard Romanesque art, built in pink marble of Verona.
Built between 1122 and 1233 in pink Verona marble, the cathedral has a large rose window on its façade and three splendid sculpted portals, protected by loggias whose columns are supported by atlantes and stylophoric lions ("column holders"). It is a magnificent example of Lombard Romanesque art. Inside, the three naves, the drum and the dome have frescoes by Guercino, Morazzone, Ludovico Carracci and Camillo Procaccini. Crypt supported by 108 columns with sculpted capitals.
