PALAZZO DEL COMUNE
Palace in the heart of the city housing most of the cultural wealth of Macerata.
This palace is located in the heart of the city, as are most of Macerata's cultural riches. The construction of the palace of the Town Hall began in 1603 (the works were then followed by the architect Giovanni Battista Cavagna). In the hall and the courtyard you can see statues and commemorative stelae of Etruscan and Roman times coming from the ancient dwellings of Helvia Recina and Urbisaglia. Admire the neoclassical style façade composed of an arcade whose arches are supported by pillars with an elegant balcony overlooking it .
