DUCAL PALACE & CIVIC MUSEUM
Palace on the site of a pre-existing citadel preserving beautiful art collections.
This 6,000square metre palace, built at the end of the 15th century on the site of a pre-existing citadel, houses fine collections of works of art. It contains engravings and drawings by great artists such as Bramante, Ghiberti, Pollaiolo and Gerolamo Genga. A section is dedicated to the famous school of ceramics of the 16th century, where masters in majolica such as Niccolo Pellipario worked. Under Federico da Montefeltro, this palace was modified to become a Doge's Palace.
