AUBERGE DES DEUX TONNEAUX
A postcard from Auvergne, for a gourmet break, in the protected village of Pierrefitte-en-Auge.
What a setting for the "only business in the village"! Between Pont-l'Evêque and Le Breuil-en-Auge, a 16th century inn with half-timbering and thatched roof offers a purely Norman view, as does its local menu. Country specialties, copious and eminently greedy: ribeye steak with camembert sauce, incredible Pig burger, washed down with the excellent Dupont farm cider. Run by Hervé Amiard and his son, this postcard from the Auvergne is a nod to the restaurants on the coast!
