LOGGIA DEI MERCANTI
Loggia in front of the theater offering a beautiful walk under the arches and in the center.
Composed of five arches resting on Corinthian columns, this loggia dates from 1513. Adjacent to the church of San Francesco and right in front of the theatre, you can stroll through the centre. First built under the supervision of the Lombard master Bernardino di Pietro da Carona, it was completed by Francesco Rubei of Villagona. Its construction was requested by the guild of wool merchants, who used to display their goods under the arches. A walk under the arches will take you back in time.
