ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Archaeological museum presenting prehistoric, Roman and Italian remains.
The Archaeological Museum, located in the Panichi Palace, opposite the Town Hall, exhibits the prehistoric, Roman and Italian remains found in the area of Ascoli Piceno, especially those found in the necropolis of Salino and Monteprandone. Of particular interest is the mosaic portrait of Trajan. You can also admire Roman inscriptions, sculptures and bas-reliefs. Some of the exhibits also come from Castel Trosino, a village a few kilometres from Ascoli Piceno.
