DUOMO
Church with a large polyptych by Crivelli, a tabernacle and a silver facing.
Its unfinished façade is the work of Cola dell'Amatrice. Inside, you can discover a large polyptych by Crivelli, a tabernacle by Vasari and a 14th century silver paneling, composed of twenty-seven paintings representing the life of Christ. The impressive crypt is decorated with mosaics and contains the remains of the patron saint of Ascoli, Emidius, as well as all the bishops of the city since the Middle Ages. The church is named after St. Emidius, the patron saint of the city, revered as the protector of earthquakes.
