Bitola hosts one of the biggest film festivals in the Balkans, with screenings, competitions and lively evenings.

This prestigious film festival (Меѓународен Фестивал на Филмската Камера Браќа Манаки/Meǵunaroden Festival na Filmskata Kamera Braḱa Manaki) has been held in Bitola since 1950. It pays tribute to the pioneers of Balkan cinema, the brothers Miltiadis Manaki (1882-1964) and Yannakis Manaki (1878-1954). Many international stars take part, and French cinematographer Stéphane Fontaine has won two awards for his work with Jacques Audiard.
