This small museum (Музеј на Град Берово) is housed in a rather elegant late 19th-century building that housed the city's first Slavic language school. It features the three most important Macedonian Bulgarian activists of the Maleševo region: Dedo Iljo Maleševski (1805-1898), his son-in-law Dimitar Pop-Georgiev Berovski (1840-1907), for whom the central square is named, and Nikola Petrov Rusinski (1875-1943), a statue of whom stands near the museum. One can also see some antique objects and the reconstruction of a 19th century house.
