BARNACLE NATURE RESERVE
A haven of rest for migratory birds and a small paradise for wildlife lovers in a superbly preserved area.
The Grangettes reserve, located at the end of the lake, is recognized as being of international importance for waterfowl and migratory birds. It is an internationally recognized site (Ramsar Convention, 1990). Many ducks come here to spend the winter in waters that never freeze and are abundant in food. It is a stopover site, especially in spring, where over 260 bird species have been observed. Some 70 species nest here, some of them very rare. Observation tower.
