MAKAN
Asian and Indian restaurant-bar with a nice courtyard in Beirut.
Makan, it's not really a restaurant like any other. It's not really a restaurant, by the way. It is a gallery, a space for exchange, a kitchen where chefs are invited to discover their specialities for three days in a row. There are no prices or menus here. Customers leave what they want at the end of the meal. Every day, a buffet is served for lunch from noon to 3pm. In the evening, it's dinner in 6-7 courses. At lunch, a reduced menu offers good Asian and Indian specialities. The setting: a traditional apartment that displays the works of artists from the region or working on the Middle East, with an outdoor bar and a few tables scattered in a pretty tree-lined courtyard. An experience!
