CAFÉ AL RAWDA
Restaurant serving hummus, taouk chichs but no alcohol in Beirut with sea view.
Opened in 1930, it was a popular café appreciated by Beirut's inhabitants, but the kitchens have had a rather bad reputation in recent years. That said, the place is perfect for a drink while admiring the sunset, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. One ends one's day there quietly in the magical atmosphere of the hookah vapours. During the war, the café was occupied by Palestinian fighters who took a dip in the sea between two pitched battles. Good to know: Rawda coffee does not serve alcohol.
