THE GRAND MESHMOSH
Hotel-restaurant in Beirut offering a terrace, a good price and organizing events.
Meshmosh, which means apricot, has long been Michel's nickname. So when he opened this hotel on the St. Nicholas stairs, he decided to name it after this childhood memory. And it is true that there is a certain carelessness in the Great Meshmosh. On the ground floor of this historic building in Gemmayze, a small terrace houses a restaurant that serves very good Lebanese cuisine, prepared with fresh and local produce. It is one of the favorite meetings of the bohemian youth of Beirut and travellers eager to meet each other. Events are regularly held there and backgammon players will find game partners every night. As for the rooms, they are cheap, soberly decorated and perfectly maintained. The Great Meshmosh is therefore undoubtedly one of the best addresses in the city for limited budgets.
