CIRCUIT EMPIRE-DUNES
The Circuit Empire is an iconic cinema in Beirut, Lebanon, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Founded in 1919 by Georges Haddad, the Empire circuit has played a major role in the history of cinema in Lebanon. From generation to generation, the Haddad family has passed on its passion for cinema, opening numerous cinemas across the country. Today, the Empire circuit boasts 36 cinemas with over 1,500 seats in Lebanon and Syria. Despite the challenges it has faced over the years, notably war and migration, the Empire circuit has been able to adapt and diversify to meet the needs of moviegoers. In addition to commercial cinemas, it also offers art house, luxury and prestigious cinemas. The Empire circuit also organizes special events to celebrate its centenary, including an evening in Cannes in collaboration with "Variety" magazine.
