LI BEIRUT
In the early evening, Li Beirut doesn't seem very engaging, with its decoration made of bric-a-brac and junk, its almost empty room and its sleeping barman. Misleading impression: the evening at Li Beirut only starts once the night is well underway. Once the other bars on Madkissi Street start to close down, it's all about the excitement. People come to dance to the sound of Arab music hits, sung at the top of their lungs by a young, night-owning clientele. Everyone sings and sways their hips in a frenetic atmosphere. One of Hamra's unmissable events.
