Can't miss that mosque facing the sea. Although it is modest in size, its minaret stands out from the recent buildings that now make up most of the landscape of the cornice. The mosque was built in 1887-1888 by Abdullah Beyhum, Prime Minister under the French mandate from 1936 to 1939 and an important figure in the struggle for independence, and by Sheikh Mohammad al-Hibri, one of the main protagonists of the scouting movement in the Muslim world.
