Beirut Souks Shopping Center features a tiny Mamluk monument that can be seen on the side of the street in Imam Ozai Square. Built in 1517, this small domed shrine has been completely renovated. It was built by the Sufi master Mohammad Ibn Arraq Al-Dimashqi to house his disciples. Later, a madrasa was established, where jurisprudence and theology were taught. The domed room, preserved to the present day, served as a mausoleum and housed the tomb of one of Ibn Arraq's disciples.
