Behind the Saint-Louis church, stop around the magnificent terraced garden, from where you can admire Beirut's magnificent Roman baths, dating from the 1st century. You can clearly see the piping system that used to heat the caldarium, the hot water room. This area is particularly appreciated by young couples who are sheltered from prying eyes. These thermal baths are the largest among those that have been discovered so far in Lebanon . The rooms (frigidarium, tepidarium and caldarium) are still visible.
