Located on the eastern border of Ashrafieh, along the Beirut River, the IBC occupies an area of 1,500 m2 on two levels. Inaugurated at the beginning of 2009 in a former industrial zone, this building with its very pure forms is designed by the Lebanese architect Raed Abillama. The BAC has an exhibition room on contemporary art, a bookshop, an auditorium and a terrace. Numerous exhibitions are organized there throughout the year. At the time of our visit in February 2020, renovation work was in progress.
