FISHING-CLUB
Pépé Abed, the owner of this restaurant who died in 2005, was very well known in Lebanon to be friends of stars. Photos on the walls bear witness to this. Originally from Mexico but from Lebanese father, he had settled in Byblos in 1962 after falling under the charm of the site. Actor, restaurant and deceiver, Conn was a myth. The restaurant is now held by its family and has preserved this unusual universe of Lebanon from the 1970 s. In these years of glory, Fishing-Club was very well known throughout the Mediterranean.
The terrace, decorated with fishing nets and old amphorae, offers a beautiful view of the old harbour; You can then eat grilled fish or fish, or simply take a fresh beer. The brand and kitchen are no longer as famous as before but At Pépé is a pleasant address.
