LA BRÈCHE AU DIABLE
On the outskirts of Poligny (an old mining town whose miners' houses can still be seen), a circuit takes you on a voyage of discovery of wonders, mysteries and legends. At the top: rocky promontories; in the abyss: menhirs and the Brèche where St-Quentin made a pact with the Devil. Humid due to its proximity to the Laizon River and black as an oven, the place is unique in the early morning. Finally, on the hillside, the mausoleum of actress Marie Joly, who died in 1798, and wife of a cavalry captain from Soumont-Saint-Quentin.
