FURN AL SABAYA
At the exit of the village of Aamchit on the littoral road towards Batroun, after 1 km, two blue panels on your left: one in French, At Zakhia, the other in Arabic Furn al Sabaya. The road goes down to the gas depots of the city, crosses the old railway line, then again the Arabic sign on your left. On the ground floor of a house without charm, Furn al Sabaya is a small local bakery created in 1994, whose reputation is no longer to be done. It serves as excellent manouchés (including the bi beyd manouché, the eggs) and especially a delicious dessert: muwaraka, a roulé cake and stuffed with almonds, walnuts, sugar and water of orange flower. Divine! Here, everything is home. Each Tuesday the three sisters participate in the Earth Market in Hamra. An essential stopover on the road to Batroun. In the summer you will see many young people stopping their manouché before going to the beach.
