CAMPING LES COLOMBES
Located on the coast, 3 km north of the port of Byblos (it is easier to come from Byblos, from the expressway, get off at the Aamchit exit and take the coastal road to Byblos). Opened in 1965 by Denise and Malek Lahoud, Les Colombes is one of the few campsites in Lebanon. An esplanade, majestically overlooking the sea, welcomes guests with tents in the shade of pines and eucalyptus trees. You can also choose to sleep in small bungalows (7 m²) that can accommodate two people. The owner of the land also offers chalets of 25 m², and even an apartment that can accommodate 8 people and has a private swimming pool.
Spread over 27,000 m² south of Aamchit, the site is superb, facing the sea. From the esplanade, a stairway carved into the cliff leads to a pretty rocky beach (swimming is not safe). When you leave the campsite, you can reach the centre of Aamchit in half an hour on foot.
