THE QAMMOUHA FOREST
Located at an altitude of 1 400 to 2 250 m, the Qammouha forest (50 ha) which begins at the level of the village of Fnaideq offers a remarkable landscape. There are 42 species of trees including juniper, cedar and Cilicia fir, 1 600 plant species and flowers, a rich and diverse fauna. Qammouha is one of the most beautiful natural sites in Lebanon. Lost at the "end of the world" in the Akkar, the region is filled with small torrents, pines, trails and retains some historical remains. Ideal location for hiking.
