THE ROMAN TEMPLES OF QSAR NAOUS
Of the two Roman temples, we still distinguish very well the peristyle, the cella of the first as well as the portal opening the hall of the temple. Two columns have been closed. To southwest of the first temple, the second, certainly more important, is unfortunately no longer just a pile of ruins. A few steps away from the portal, you can find a relief representing the god Helios and perhaps from the pediment. The sanctuary west of the site is found in a relatively well preserved temenos wall. For the east, only the two amounts of the door still distinguish a finely carved frise. Unknown to tourists, the site is quite wide. Even if you are not experts in archaeology, the visit can be very pleasant.
Qsar Naous was occupied during the 1975-1990 civil war by militias that formed the site on a military basis. It is true that at the top of the hill, all offensives could be observed.
