HOSN NIHA
At 3 km above the two temples located in the heart of Niha, you can reach via a paved Road at the site of Hosn Niha, the «fortress of Niha», located at 1 344 m above sea level. Attention, the road is not paved to the site, with free access. The path crosses vineyards. There, the ruins of two small partially preserved temples (one large prostyle building and another smaller), as well as the ruins of a Byzantine church whose mosaics have disappeared, a village and a necropolis, recently uncovered, remain. Adyton has been sabotaged by clandestine excavations. There are still many fragments of walls, columns, capitals. Some walls of the largest temple are still conserved. The small temple is, however, very degraded. The perfect place to be quiet and a picnic. From there, the view is superb.
