Shortly before the village, there is a vast quarry, tombs dug in rocks and syriaks inscriptions that date from 714. They could have been executed by nestorians Christians deported from Haute-Mesopotamia and employees in the extraction of stones necessary for the construction of the site of Aanjar. Some sites that are visible from the main street are sometimes found in private land. Their access is not public.
