CONVENT OF AIR EL-MOUKHALLES OR SAINT-SAUVEUR
At the exit of Prat, after the dam, you will see the convent in the distance. Follow a 3 km road that passes through vineyards of olive and pine trees. This beautiful Greek Catholic convent is surrounded by greenery and is a pleasant stop. It was founded in 1711 on the scene of a miracle, according to legend. By accident, a man was shot in his stomach. A bishop of passage in the region and witness of the scene shouted: " Oh, Savior of the world! " The man on earth met unharmed.
The convent was damaged by an earthquake in 1956 and then abandoned during the war. It was recently restored. Some objects (clock, press press) from the beginning of the th century are also exposed in the passage leading to a small church. It has ancient icons. The terrace offers a remarkable panorama.
