One of lebanon's most important historical palaces. This serves as well the summer residence for the president of Lebanon. It was built 1700s and shows thte lebanese architecture that was influenced by italian architecture. All the castle is accessible, you pay a fee to get in. Well preserved. Recommended in summer or winter.

It is in a mountainous area southeast of Beirut and 44 km away. It is located away. It was used between 1788 and 1818 by Emir Bashir, the ruler of the mountainous region of Lebanon. After 1840, the Ottomans, and during the mandate period, the French used this place as an administrative building. Meaning of the word; house of religion, house of faith. Beit ed Dine. It has very unique ambience. You need to see it...

A wonderful palace to visit, we went there in November and we had a tour in all sections of the palace for a 4$ entrance fee with a tour guide (30 min for 10$ for the tour guide). The palace is worth a visit it is similar to the ones in Istanbul, but on a smaller scale. It has some greek and arabic arts also.

A faire absolument !

Magnificent! The palace is huge and steam rooms, lounges and patios well-preserved and maintained. The mosaics are exceptional. That lacks explanations in some rooms and there is no guide (due to budget it...)
