You can make a quick hook to the village of Baadarane (7 km south of Moukhtara) which is a beautiful example of a Lebanese village to traditional architecture. The village retains several feudal houses such as the palace of Ali Pacha Jumblat, an ally of the Amir Fakhreddine II. The site unfortunately falls in ruins. Adjacent to the hotel is the 1676 Baddou palace with its elegant portal. The village also has a cemetery with tombs whose stones have been specially worked (carved in lace).
