SOAP MUSEUM (KHAN AL-SABOUN)
This museum, which is free of charge, is the only museum in the country dedicated to soap. It was funded by the Audi Foundation, whose President Raymond Audi is one of Lebanon's largest bankers. Located in a medieval house of the 1895 th century, housed in soap shop in the 1950 th century and became the home of the Audi family from 1990 to, this place was remarkably renovated in the mid s. We discover the different stages in the manufacture of soap. Explanatory panels and a 10-minute film (Arabic subtitled in Arabic) provide the visitor with full information.
The ground floor of the house houses a café and a gift shop, open at the same time as the museum.
